Poison Pen Letter

Something really interesting happened in my office a few months back. We occupied 3 levels, level 9, 10 and11, mainly occupied by different businesses at each level. As we know, in any work place, there may be many ham sap lous and also hiao pohs.

There is one guy, not really a big shot, but he is part of the upper management team seated at level 9. He has his own room with his big name on the door. He is married and I don’t know how he got involved with this single girl from the same level, same business unit.

Somehow, his wife found out about the relationship and took some action. The wife wrote a letter detailing the kan-fu-yam-fu’s relationship, the phone calls, the sms-es, etc; made copies of the letter and send them to my company, addressed to specific designation and titles, like Finance Manager, Finance Controller, HR Director, IT Manager, etc… So every managers and above on each level gets a copy of the interesting letter. I am not sure how this letter got leaked out to the non-managers, somehow, I get this news. And because the letter was written in Chinese I didn’t get the juicy details. Darn! I hate myself for not knowing how to read Chinese!

As curious as everyone else, I went down to level 9 to have a look at who these people are. The ‘lou’ – not good looking. The ‘lui’ – not very pretty. Both of them are still working here.

Gosh... this is really bad. What will you do if you were in this situation? This is really so, so, embarrassing. I can't imagine if it happens to me.

Cheating Spouse Part 2

Ok… so you caught your hubby / wife with another person in bed. You reacted the way you did, and stormed off. But after a while, you cooled down and it’s time to get things settled. You need to talk to your other half.

I do not know how or what I will do if I am really in this situation. If we don’t have kids, decision will probably be easier, that we go our separate ways. But if we have kids, there’s a high chance that I will still leave him, taking my kids with me.


When these happen, things will never be the same again, definitely! How could you still live the normal life as before when you knew your spouse had had an affair out there? It doesn’t really matter if he / she has ended it because our trust has been broken.

However, I do know a few couples who stayed married and living under the same roof because of their kids. One couple whom I know are not sleeping on the same bed anymore, doesn’t really talk much except for matters related to the son, and has been like this for the past 6 years. The person who had the affair was the wife. As I know from other friends of ours, the husband never had another girlfriend but just devoted himself to work very hard each day. I am not sure if his wife is still seeing the other man, but from sources, yes she is. OMG! How can the hubby take all this and still remain married to this woman? I was thinking… why bear all these sufferings this way? Can’t they just end it?

Another couple that I know, same thing happened. The wife had an affair out there, the hubby found out, and the wife suggested a divorce. But the hubby does not want to leave. Until today, he was still hoping that she will return to him! OMG!! There is still such man existing in this world! I can’t believe it.

So if you’re under this situation, what do you think you will really do?

Cheating Spouse Part 1

You bid each other goodbye and left in separate cars, you heading to your office and your spouse heading to his / hers.

You reached office, had your morning coffee and started your normal daily routine. You realized that you forgot your thumb drive which you saved your work last night while working on your home pc. You told your colleague and boss that you need to go home to get something.

When you reached home, you went straight into the study to get the thumb drive. It was then you realized that you are not alone. You saw your spouse with another person… OMG!!!!!

You just stood there, stunned, not knowing how to react. It has never crossed your mind, ever, that your spouse will do this to you.

When this happens, what next?

You were married for a couple of years and being termed by friends as 'lou-fu-lou-cai' (old couple / long-time couple; something like that). Both of you have good career and you really seldom see each other during weekdays. But you guys are happy and have a good relationship.

One day, you felt tired and decided to head home early. When you reached home, you heard some sound coming from your locked bedroom. Your worst nightmare has happened. Your spouse is inside your bedroom with another partner! You stood there, stunned, not knowing what to do or how to react. You decided to just sit at the living room and wait.

Ok... not going into detail of what happened next as I also cannot imagine. The thing is, when this happens, what's next?

This is a common scenario that I see among some of my friends. Most of the cases does not even involved catching your other half with another man or woman. It can simply be... no longer communicating, cannot get along well, different opinion, etc etc. Thousands of reasons for a couple to act cold towards one another. Sad but true.

If, there are no children in this scenario, the chances are - divorce. Simple, clean, easy... you go your way, I go mine.

But, if kids are involved, many couples tend to still stay on together just for the sake of the kids. But are they happy? I really do not know how a person can pretend to be happy with one another in front of the kids and some even hide this fact from their family members or friends. Isn't it awkward when a relative or friend started to ask you about your other half, and you have to answer it like nothing bad happened between the both of you?

I don't know if this will happen to me in the future, but I hope not. But if it really does happen, at this time, I don't know what I will do.

Will You Tell?

You broke off with your ex-bf long time ago and both of you remained good friends. You know he still has got the hots for you and both of you were like good ole dating couples when you meet up. Obviously, you were more than friends.

Soon, he got hooked up with another gal pal of yours. She is a close friend and your relationship with him was never much revealed. Meaning, she knows the history between you both but does not know that both of you are still so close.

One single month, your gal pal went overseas for business trip. You and few other friends, including your ex, met up and had a few drinks at the pub. All of you got high and he insisted on sending you home. Since it’s late, all the other friends asked you to follow his car for safety sake. While in the car, he held your hands and told you that he still misses you. Of course, you are happy that someone still cares for you but that is already history. He is with someone else right now and she is your gal pal and you are actually happy for them. Then he tried to kiss you and you pushed him away, telling him to f*ck off! Nothing happened then. He sent you home.

The following night, he text you, asking you your plans for the weekend. He asked if you wanna spend the weekend with him at his house. You think he must have gone crazy this time! Now that’s too much. WTF!!?? Of course, you said no.

Few weeks later, your gal pal returned from her business trip. You went out yam-char with her and another friend. While 3 of you gals were having your girls’ talk, your gal pal told you that she and your ex is planning to get married. The other friend burst out happily and said that she is soooo happy for both of them.

Inside your heart, you felt a sudden gush of anger… that the f*cker has the guts to ask you to spend the weekend with him prior to that. How can he treat her this way???

This scenario is more for married and attached guys. We need sincere answer based on your current situation. Meaning, if you have gf, or if you are married, this will be your current situation. Of course, if you’re single, this scenario is meaningless.

Imagine this:

There is a new gal in your office. Pretty, sweet, hot, friendly. Both of you can get along well. You like her personality. You always try to catch a glimpse of her whenever you could and noticed that she is always looking at you as well. Each time your eyes locked, she will smile the monalisa smile at you. You think she likes you but could not be sure and you just tell yourself don’t be ‘perasan’ la.

One night, after a company gathering, you and another few colleagues went to a nearby pub to have a drink. She sat beside you and you somehow feel glad that she is sitting beside you. Both of you chat. As it was getting late, most of the other guys went home, leaving only you and her in the pub. It was a normal and fun chat. Both of you kept looking at each other and you really enjoyed her company. Both of you were attracted to each other. You somehow think that if you are single, you will probably go after this gal.

Suddenly, or very naturally, she puts her hand on your thigh.

Guys, at this moment, you could have her if you make a move as well.

Scenario A:
Go to work looking completely like a ghost. Then spend more than 20 mins in the office washroom to put on your contact lenses and apply makeup. Then look like a complete different person after that.
- I see a Hong Kong girl that does this every morning in my office washroom

Scenario B:
Prick your pimple in an elevator mirror when the elevator is almost full.
- I saw a girl doing this today in the elevator. Almost puke all my lunch out. Why so gross one???
